The ornament itself
What are the ornaments made of?
Each one is a glossy ceramic disc, 3 inches across and about 0.1 inches thick. It's real ceramic, not plastic or acrylic, so it has some weight to it. The design is printed on one side, and the reverse is blank.
What comes with my order?
Every ornament ships with a gold ribbon for hanging and a free gift box, at no extra cost. It arrives ready to give — you don't need to wrap it.
How much does an ornament cost?
Every ornament in the shop is $9.99, regardless of design or how much personalization it takes.
Where are they made?
Printed, packed and shipped from our studio in Lake Forest, California. Nothing is made until you order it.
Personalization
How do I personalize an ornament?
Pick a design, then fill in the personalization fields shown on that product page — usually names, a date, or a year. What you type is exactly what gets printed, including spelling and capitalization, so read it once more before adding to cart.
Can I upload my own photo?
Yes, on designs that include a photo upload field. Use a clear, well-lit picture: the printed area is only 3 inches across, so a close crop of one or two faces reproduces much better than a wide group shot.
How many names can I add?
It depends on the design. Most family designs take between two and eight names. The product page will tell you how many fields that particular ornament has.
I made a typo. Can you fix it?
Email us at hello@honeyornaments.com as soon as you notice. We can usually still correct it while the order is in production, but not once it has shipped.
Shipping
How long until my order arrives?
Orders are printed within 1–3 business days, then shipped USPS with a transit time of 3–7 business days. Most U.S. orders arrive 4–10 business days after they're placed.
Hawaii, Alaska and APO/FPO/DPO addresses can take up to 3 weeks.
What does shipping cost?
In the U.S., standard shipping is $5.99, and it's free on orders over $35. Expedited USPS Priority Mail is $14.55. Shipping to Canada is a flat $16.99.
Do you ship outside the United States?
We currently ship to the United States and Canada. For Canadian orders, any import duties or taxes are set by customs and are the recipient's responsibility — they aren't collected at checkout.
When should I order for Christmas delivery?
December is our busiest month and both production and carrier times run longer. We recommend ordering by December 10 for U.S. standard shipping, December 15 for U.S. expedited, and November 25 for Canada.
How do I track my order?
You'll get an email with a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Tracking can take 24–48 hours to start updating after the label is created.
Returns and problems
Can I return a personalized ornament?
Personalized items can't be resold, so we don't accept ordinary returns or exchanges on them. Please check your personalization carefully before ordering.
What if it arrives damaged or printed wrong?
Send us a photo of the ornament and the packaging within 14 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you in full, at no cost to you. You don't need to ship anything back.
My tracking hasn't moved. What now?
If tracking shows no movement for 10 business days in the U.S. or 30 calendar days for Canada, email us and we'll open a claim with the carrier and replace or refund your order.
